Atlanta Jewish Times Editor Michael Jacobs is on his second stint leading the newspaper’s editorial operations, having served as managing editor from 2005 to 2008. In a news career that began in 1991, Jacobs also has worked at USA Today, The Washington Times, The (Henderson, N.C.) Daily Dispatch, The North Jersey Herald & News, Patch.com and HomeInHenderson.com.

A fifth-generation New Orleanian and Tulane University alumnus who grew up in Virginia, Jacobs has lived in East Cobb since 2005. He is married to a graduate of Newcomb College and has two sons, one a graduate of the University of Georgia and the other at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The family attends Temple Kol Emeth.

The chance to edit the Jewish Times brought Jacobs to the Atlanta area, and he is thrilled with the opportunity to continue that work and restore the newspaper to its crucial position in this great community
