No sooner was one of Atlanta’s few certified-kosher restaurants sold than another went on the market.
Broadway Cafe in Toco Hills is for sale for $195,000, according to a listing with restaurant real estate broker the Schumacher Group. The listing says the dairy restaurant grossed $450,000 in 2015 and $550,000 in 2016, with a profit of $100,000 each year.
A buyer would have the option to continue with bagels and pizzas under Atlanta Kosher Commission supervision or to convert to just about anything except Thai, Mexican or sushi, so Broadway’s future as a kosher venue is not assured.
The listing for the dairy, counter-service eatery comes soon after the sale of FuegoMundo, which is sticking with the sit-down, meat side of kosher dining.
