David Ostrowsky’s Rosh Hashanah Message for 2026
David Ostrowsky shares his thoughts and inspiration for this year's High Holidays.
As the father to a 4-year-old son who’s developing his reading and verbal communication skills by leaps and bounds every day, this year’s High Holidays take on even greater meaning. What is always one of my favorite times of the year is now extra special as I can explain to my son the underlying significance of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. For the first time in his young life, he can really understand why these two days, in particular, are different from the other 363 days of the calendar. To take it a step further, it will only be a matter of time before my son can attend synagogue with me during the High Holidays and garner an even deeper appreciation of this sliver of the calendar year. Undoubtedly, the best is yet to come.
