Jewish Atlanta is Stronger When Its Rabbis Stand Together
When Atlanta’s rabbis stand together, supported by the community we’re privileged to serve, Jewish life across our city grows stronger.
During the High Holy Days, Jews throughout Atlanta will gather in sanctuaries and homes, in hospitals and on college campuses, in senior communities and countless other places where Jewish life unfolds.
The rabbis who serve them come from different branches and lead in different ways, but we share a common responsibility: to help Jewish life meet this moment with wisdom and courage, rooted in our connection to one another and to something greater than ourselves.
The relationships we build within the Atlanta Rabbinical Association matter because they allow us to serve our communities more fully. When someone is grieving or celebrating, searching for meaning or trying to find a place within Jewish life, their rabbi is part of a wider circle of colleagues who know one another and care deeply about the future of Jewish Atlanta.
Those relationships matter even more when our community faces difficult moments. In those times, Atlanta’s rabbis aren’t meeting one another for the first time. We’ve learned together, prayed together, and wrestled with our differences, discovering that each experience has strengthened the trust between us. That foundation of trust enables us to respond not as solitary leaders, but as colleagues united by a shared commitment to serve our community with wisdom, compassion, and purpose.
Of course, Jewish life has never been created by its rabbis alone. It grows through the partnership between rabbinic leadership and the communities we serve, shaped by people who show up, ask difficult questions, care for one another, and invest themselves in our shared future. During this season, we’re especially grateful that the partnership between Atlanta’s rabbis and its Jewish community remains strong, giving us confidence in what we can build together in the year ahead and for many years to come.
