As summer begins to fade and the High Holy Days approach, there is something special about the anticipation of Rosh Hashanah. The Jewish New Year invites us to pause, reflect on the year that has passed and look ahead with hope, gratitude and renewed purpose.
Rosh Hashanah is more than the beginning of a new year on the Jewish calendar. It is a time of reflection and renewal — a moment to consider where we have been, what we have learned and how we want to move forward. It encourages us to reconnect with our values, strengthen our relationships and make room for new possibilities.
As we welcome 5787, may we carry with us the lessons of the past year while embracing the opportunities of the year ahead. May we find time to celebrate the blessings in our lives, extend forgiveness where it is needed and offer kindness to those around us.
Most of all, may this new Jewish year bring our community together. May it be a year filled with health, happiness, peace, prosperity and meaningful moments shared with the people we cherish.
