Rosalie Baranovitz Hirschberg passed away Dec. 13, 2025. Rosalie was born April 16, 1933, in Atlanta, Ga. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Hyman and Ida Baranovitz, her brother, Jack, her loving husband of 68 years, Walter, and her son, David. She is survived by her son, Mark. She was a devoted loving wife and mother. Her Judaism was important to her, lighting candles every Friday night, observing all the Jewish holidays, relishing Passover, when all family and friends would gather for Passover seder.
Her passion for young children and education led her to being a part-time teaching assistant at The Epstein School. She partnered in the family real estate business, a major advisor and contributor to the building and remodeling of properties. She was proficient in Yiddish, volunteering in the 1970s for translation to newly transplanted Russian Jews to Atlanta. A lover of nature, plants, and animals, she never missed a televised Georgia football game or Atlanta Braves baseball game. A good friend and listener to all. Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care.
