She hopes to attend University of Georgia this fall on the HOPE scholarship with plans to study pre-medicine. Outside of school, she works at Temple Emanu-El’s Schiff Preschool during most summers as a camp counselor.

“I am very excited to deliver my speech to this year’s graduating class,” she said. “The valedictory address is an instrumental part of the graduation ceremony, and I am truly honored to be selected as this year’s speaker!”

Weiss is an International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate after adhering to a very specific curriculum from the beginning of her junior year. At this point, she hopes to major in political science at the University of Georgia in the Honors Program.

As for extracurriculars, Weiss is very involved in a variety of community service organizations, Riverwood Interact Club (of which she is president), Bachman Youth Fund (a philanthropic organization) and serving on the Youth Advisory Board for Andee’s Army (a fundraising organization for Holy Innocents Episcopal School student and brain injury patient Andy Poulos).

“I’m very excited to speak at graduation!” she said. “I only hope that my speech will capture everything I hope to say.”
