Several Davis Academy Innovators Awarded

The Davis students received top honors in a recent statewide competition.

Atlanta-area families have plenty to celebrate as a new generation of innovators is making its mark at Georgia’s State-Level Technology Competition.

Students from The Davis Academy recently competed against more than 1,000 participants from across the state, earning top honors in multiple categories and showcasing impressive creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.

State Champions include:
* Noah Milrud and Adam Milrud | Physical Computing (Grades 5–6) – first place
* Brooks Cohen | Video Production (Grades 5–6) – first place
* Lena Halpern | Multimedia Applications (Grades 3–4) – first place
* Shane First and Beau Young | Digital Game Design (Grades 3–4) – first place
* Avital Wikoff | Animation (Grades 5–6) – third place

The students’ success reflects both their dedication and the strength of a learning environment that encourages exploration, innovation, and real-world application of skills. Opportunities like the state competition allow students to take their ideas beyond the classroom and bring them to life on a larger stage.

The Davis Academy extends its appreciation to the faculty and Innovation Team for their guidance, as well as to all students who participated in the in-house and regional competitions leading up to the state event.
