Whiter Smiles, Brighter Futures for Kids

The Smiles for Life Campaign is raising money for Camp Braveheart.

Hugh Flax

Through June 30, all proceeds from tooth-whitening procedures at Atlanta-based Flax Dental will be donated to the Smiles for Life Foundation as part of the 20th annual Smiles for Life Campaign, which began in March.

The foundation directs the donations to children’s charities and humanitarian work, and Flax Dental has designated Camp Braveheart, a Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta camp for heart patients, as the local recipient of half the money the practice raises. The rest will go toward the foundation’s national and international charitable work.

Patients will receive the tooth whitening at a discounted rate.

Since 1998, the Crown Council’s Smiles for Life Campaign has raised more than $38 million.

Greg Anderson, the director of the Crown Council, an alliance of dentists committed to improving their communities, said: “Smiles for Life allows a person to help children in need by doing something that benefits them as well. Dr. (Hugh) Flax donates his time and expertise, while Ultradent generously provides all Opalescence whitening products. Patients receive a brighter smile and help children get a brighter future.”
