About the Film

“The Physician” tells the story of a Christian orphan traveling from medieval England to Persia disguised as a Jew in order to unlock the secrets of medicine.

An overseas box office hit based on the Noah Gordon bestseller, “THE PHYSICIAN“ has been nominated for five German Academy Awards. The film features Tom Payne, Stellan Skarsgård, Emma Rigby and Ben Kingsley as master scholar Ibn Sina.
