Grad Wins State Level of History Competition
Bootsie Glasser won the Georgia state competition for third consecutive year.
Bootsie Glasser, a graduating senior, won at the Georgia state level that is part of National History Day, a national competition for middle and high school students. The theme this year is “Communication – The Key to Understanding.”
Bootsie, a graduate of Midtown International School, won the Georgia state competition in April. Her topic was about the first U.S. public health campaign to educate the public about tuberculosis and how those same strategies are being used in the COVID pandemic.
She will submit her project for the national competition, the results of which are expected in mid-June. Bootsie won the state level three consecutive years and placed in the top 20 in the national competition last year. She plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh in the fall.
