Molly Blank Concert Series Connects Generations

The concert brought together 34-year-old Atlanta pianist Joe Alterman and one of the world’s leading tenor jazz saxophonists, 88-year-old Houston Persons.

The Molly Blank Concert Series at The Breman Jewish Heritage Museum on Sunday, March 12 demonstrated that impressive musical performance can sometimes transcend age differences. The concert brought together 34-year-old Atlanta pianist Joe Alterman and one of the world’s leading tenor jazz saxophonists, 88-year-old Houston Persons. The concert earned both of them a lengthy standing ovation. Alterman is also executive director of Neranenah — the Atlanta Jewish music festival.
