Rabbi Beth Schwartz’ Rosh Hashanah Message for 2022
Rabbi Beth Schwartz shares her thoughts and inspiration for the Jewish New Year.
As we come together to observe the High Holy Days, whether we are “regulars” or High Holy Days-only Jews, our communal presence reminds us of the spiritual strength of the Jewish People.
It’s an extended family reunion that has endured across time and space, and a symbol of our resilience. It’s the renewal of our ongoing conversation and covenant with the Holy One.
May we build upon these bonds in the coming year, and share the blessings of our sacred heritage, our family ties, and our faith in God and ourselves.
Beth Schwartz is rabbi emerita of Temple Israel of Columbus, Georgia.
