Todd Starr Appointed to AFISCD Board of Directors

The American Friends of the Israel Sport Center for the Disabled welcomed Starr at their January board meeting.

The  (AFISCD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Starr to its Board of Directors.

Starr was welcomed aboard at AFISCD’s January 2022 Board Meeting. “Todd is an incredible addition to our Board of Directors,” said AFISCD Board President Lori Komisar. “His commitment to the Center’s mission makes him an asset to the AFISCD team.”

Starr is a small business entrepreneur, having successfully founded five businesses over the last 16 years. He received his bachelor’s from DePaul University and earned his MBA from Mercer University. In November 2012, he was named one of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 under 40.

Starr has also dedicated himself to working with several nonprofit organizations, including serving as Jewish National Fund’s youngest regional president (2010- 2014). He has participated in the ADL-Steinberg Leadership Institute in 2000, the JCC Maccabi senior leadership committee (2019), the MJCCA Executive Board of Directors (2019), AIPAC Senate Club, the Erwin Zaban Leadership Program (2017), and was selected to join the Frank Mission (2018). He serves on Atlanta’s Jewish Federation’s Global Jewish Peoplehood Committee (2019).

Starr and his wife have served as chairpersons of the Chabad of North Fulton’s Rashi’s Campus building (2019). “The Center is an incredible place,” Starr said. “I’m very excited to work with everyone on the board.”

The American Friends of ISCD is committed to providing ongoing financial support to the Center, empowering children and youth with physical disabilities from all backgrounds to participate in physical and psychological rehabilitation through sports.
