A Gathering of Those from Small Communities

The event is on Sunday, Dec. 3, with a reception at 3 p.m. and the program beginning at 4 p.m.

Are you from a small Jewish community? We hope you’ll join us for this first ever event designed to bring together Jews who, today live in metro Atlanta, but grew up in small towns across the South (and country). You’ll have a chance to meet others that share your unique perspective that comes from being part of a small-town Jewish community. Dr. Eric Goldstein, Associate Professor of History at Emory University, will speak about the Jewish experience in small town communities. In his presentation will be reflections on the contributions that small town Jewish congregations made to the Zionist cause.

The event is on Sunday, Dec. 3 with a reception at 3 pm and the program beginning at 4 pm. It is a joint program of the Jewish Community Legacy Project, The Breman and Atlanta Jewish Foundation, and is being held at The Selig Center in Midtown.
