It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alvin K. Lubin on June 21, 2026.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alvin K. Lubin on June 21, 2026. He was surrounded by family at the time of his passing.
He is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Susan S. Lubin, and survived by his three daughters, Sharon Lubin, Kathy Binder, and Julie Lubin, as well as his son-in-law, Steve Binder, his four grandchildren (Selena Sanchez, Brandi Schleter, Daniel Binder and Leah Binder) and six great-grandchildren (Noah, Autumn, Luna, Alesia, Alora and Legend).
Alvin was born on Aug. 10, 1929, in Fall River, Mass. He went to Georgia Institute of Technology on a wrestling scholarship and graduated in 1957. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served proudly in Korean War. After college graduation, he moved to Akron, Ohio, where he met his wife and moved to Cleveland, Ohio. He moved his family to Atlanta in 1972 and was a member of The Temple since 1972.
Funeral services were held at Crest Lawn Memorial Park at 3 p.m., June 23. Arrangements by Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care, 770-451-4999.
