Dr. Robert Michael Lazerson, 86, of Sandy Springs, Ga. (born in Chicago, Ill.), devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the treasured son of Berta and Bernard Lazerson, both deceased. Bob was the beloved husband of Carol and the cherished father of his two daughters, Amy (Andy) Farbman and Brooke (Ben) Sank. His family was truly his pride and joy. He was adored as “Baba” by his grandchildren — granddaughters, Alexis, Camryn, and Lindsay Farbman, and grandsons, Ari and Ethan Sank. He is also survived by his loving sister, Judy (Mark) Cargerman.

A dentist that served in Vietnam, Dr. Lazerson cared for wounded soldiers with empathy and skill. After returning home, he met his beloved wife, Carol, and eventually settled in Atlanta, Ga., to build a life together. There, they created not only a beautiful family but also a thriving practice and a close-knit circle of friends — an extended family who shared countless celebrations and life milestones.

Dr. Lazerson was a dedicated and compassionate oral surgeon who took great pride in his work, continuing to practice well into his 80s. Beyond his professional life, he was an avid runner, hiker, and traveler who lived life to the fullest. His enduring work ethic, zest for adventure, and commitment to staying active will remain an inspiration to all who knew him while his kindness to everyone will be remembered forever.
