Estelle Weinstein, 93, died peacefully, surrounded by family, Wednesday, April 27. Estelle, or Stella as she was known, was born on November 7, 1928, in New York. She attended and graduated from New York University.

In 1959, she moved to El Paso, Texas, with her husband, David, and their young family. After obtaining a master’s degree in education at the University of Texas at El Paso, she was a remedial reading teacher for 10 years.

She was an avid tennis player, an accomplished bridge player and had a joyous zest for life. For the past 19 years, Estelle enjoyed life in Atlanta — the first six of which she shared with David. Afterwards, she became a part of the Huntcliff communities.

Stella is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Larry Feldman of Atlanta, Ga., and Rachel and Bruce Frohlich of Philadelphia, Penn. She is further survived by her three grandchildren, Nathan and Alec Feldman and Max Frohlich. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Ned (10) and Ira (7) Weinstein.

A memorial service was held Sunday, May 1, at Temple Sinai on Dupree Drive. Her family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations are sent to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF.org).
