Passover Popovers

A Passover recipe for popovers.


1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup matzah meal

1 tablespoon sugar

4 eggs


Preheat oven to 375 F. Bring oil, water and salt to boil. Add matzah meal and stir with spoon. Let cool.

Add sugar and eggs, beating well after each addition. Put mixture into muffin tin.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes, then turn down to 315 F and bake another 30 minutes.
