What Israel Means to Me: Steve Labovitz
Here’s what the Dentons senior partner and AJFF board chairman has to say as we celebrate Israel’s 70th birthday.
To me, Israel means history. Israel is a place where one and all can learn about their religious heritage. Israel also means hope and advanced technology. Israel is a place where the desert has been turned into fertile soil and technological advances abound.
Finally, Israel means a place of refuge for the Jewish people, where all those who want to immigrate can and become part of Israeli society. While challenged by an unsettled neighborhood and diverse populations, Israel inspires hope for the future.
