The Atlanta Jewish Academy (AJA) Jaguars boys' flag football team lost 33-32 in overtime to Atlanta Classical Academy.

The Atlanta Jewish Academy (AJA) Jaguars boys’ flag football team delivered a thrilling performance in the league championship game on Thursday, Oct. 8, falling just one point short in a heartbreaking 33–32 overtime loss to Atlanta Classical Academy (ACA).
In a game that came down to the final moments, the Jaguars scored with just 56 seconds remaining in regulation, putting AJA in position to claim the championship. But ACA responded with a remarkable drive down the field, scoring in under a minute to tie the game and force overtime.
The excitement continued into the extra period, with both teams finding the end zone. Ultimately, a missed extra point by AJA proved to be the deciding factor, giving ACA the narrowest of victories.
Seniors Judah Gal and Jonny Wilson turned in outstanding performances, helping lead the Jaguars through a fiercely contested championship matchup.
While the final score didn’t favor AJA, the game was an instant classic and a fitting showcase of the team’s talent, determination, and competitive spirit. The Jaguars’ championship run and hard-fought performance provided plenty for the AJA community to celebrate.
