Elaine Carp, 77, of Atlanta, Ga., passed away on April 2, 2026.
Elaine Carp, 77, of Atlanta, Ga., passed away on April 2, 2026. She was born on Dec. 23, 1948, at Grady Hospital and lived in Atlanta her entire life. She was a graduate of Druid Hills High School and attended one year at the University of Georgia before marrying her first husband, Richard Floersheim.
Elaine was a bookkeeper and worked for several years at the Fay Gold Art Gallery before working for many years at Kamin & Associates. Elaine was a dedicated friend, sister, daughter, and especially, mother and grandmother, who was involved in Hadassah, ORT, the resident council board of Village Park Alpharetta, and loved playing Mah Jongg with her friends, and spending time with her significant other, Steven.
Elaine is predeceased by her mother, Bernice Siskin, her father, Marvin Wolkin, and her second husband, Allan Carp. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Zaner, her brother Larry (Susan) Wolkin, her daughter, Marci (Floersheim) Silverman (Jeremy), and grandchildren, Reese and Mira, stepdaughters, Nancy Carp and Jennifer Carp. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to National MS Society or Excel Program at GT for students with developmental disabilities.
Graveside services were held Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Greenwood Cemetery (1173 Cascade Cir SW, Atlanta, Ga 30311) with Rabbi Lawrence Rosenthal officiating. Arrangements by Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care, 770-451-4999.
