Obituary: Howard Eugene Frushtick

Howard Eugene Frushtick, of Atlanta, Ga., passed away on Dec. 15, 2025. He was born in Jersey City, N.J., to Herman and Molly Frushtick.

Howard enjoyed a successful career in the ladies’ apparel business, later working at the Atlanta Apparel Mart where he built many lasting friendships. He was a proud alumnus of George Washington University, where he played basketball, and carried his love of the game throughout his life.

Howard was larger than life, always moving, working out, and doing whatever he could to stay healthy. He could often be seen riding his scooter in the bike lane to the JCC, where he lifted weights and stayed active with his trademark determination.

He is survived by his partner of 15 years, Patricia; his sons, David and Jay; his daughter-in-law, Julie; and his grandchildren, Sofia, Chloe, Max, and Noah.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Crest Lawn Cemetery in Atlanta.
