Passover Recipes: Grandma Flo’s Matzo Farfel Muffins (Kigelach)

A kosher for Passover kigelach recipe.

Servings: About 24 muffins

1 (14-ounce) canister of
Manischewitz Matzo Farfel
6 cups cold water
6 eggs, beaten
1 ¼ cups apple sauce
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon butter

Preheat oven to 350 F. Empty matzo farfel into a bowl. Pour in cold water and let matzo farfel soak for 30 minutes.
In a larger bowl, combine eggs, apple sauce and salt. Add matzo farfel. Mix well.
Pour into greased muffin pans. Dot each muffin with butter.
Bake for 35 minutes.
