Andrea Sneiderman of Dunwoody Released from Prison
SHE SERVED 10 MONTHS OF HER FIVE YEAR SENTENCE
SPECIAL FOR THE AJT
Andrea Sneiderman, implicated in the November 2010 murder of her husband, Rusty, and later convicted of perjury and hindering the apprehension of a killer, was released from prison this week after completing 10 months of her five-year sentence.
Sneiderman’s former boss, Hemy Neuman, was convicted in the Nov. 2010 murder of Rusty Sneiderman outside a Dunwoody day care center and is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Prosecutors insisted that Andrea was having an affair with Neuman, which she denied from the very beginning. “One of my greatest regrets will be allowing this predator into my life and not being stronger for dispelling his advances sooner,” Sneiderman said at her sentencing hearing.
Neuman was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole; however, he is now seeking a new trial of his own on the grounds that he was convicted on perjured testimony.
The mother of two will remain under parole supervision until the completion of her sentence in Aug. 2017. Because she was sentenced under the First Offender Act, her nine felony convictions will be erased if she does not commit another offense before her sentence ends.
