East Cobb resident Evan Davis, an 11-year-old member of the local Jewish community, has been named a 2026 Miracle Child for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, representing Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and helping raise awareness and support for children facing serious medical challenges.

Evan Davis’ journey began on March 18, 2025, when he was involved in a life-altering car accident at Hawkins Store Road and Canton Road in Marietta that resulted in a traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures. Following extensive treatment and rehabilitation at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Evan Davis has made remarkable progress in his recovery.

He was nominated and selected as a Miracle Child from among hundreds of thousands of patients treated at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, making the honor especially meaningful for his family and the medical team who cared for him.

A proud member of Atlanta’s Jewish community, Evan spent several summers attending day camp at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta. He has also attended Camp Barney Medintz and URJ Six Points Sports Academy, where he built friendships and memories that remain meaningful to him today.

As a Miracle Child, Evan will share his story to inspire other families and highlight the lifesaving work being done at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Miracle Children serve as ambassadors for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, helping communities understand the impact of donations that fund critical treatments, equipment, and pediatric research.

In the coming weeks, Evan’s photo may also be featured in local stores and businesses that support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through fundraising efforts, including Walmart, Dairy Queen, Ace Hardware, and Publix.

“Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta saved our child’s life and played an incredible role in Evan’s recovery,” said his mother, Robyn Davis. “Being named a Miracle Child gives Evan the opportunity to give hope to other families experiencing the unimaginable.”

His story is featured in a video produced by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, available here: https://youtu.be/5kjHVS7QorQ

Throughout the year, Evan will participate in events and campaigns supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, beginning with the University of Georgia Dance Marathon on March 28 in Athens.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America, helping ensure that children receive specialized medical care regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
